3. Academic Integrity and Prohibited Uses

You acknowledge and agree that:

4. User Content and Intellectual Property
4.1 Limited License to Process Your Content
When you upload materials to the Service (“User Content”), you grant Knovus.ai a limited, non-exclusive license solely to:
- Process and analyze your uploaded materials for the purpose of generating personalized study content within your account
- Store your materials securely on our infrastructure for the duration of your use of the Service
- Transmit your materials to AI processing services governed by data processing agreements, solely to generate content for your account
Knovus.ai does not claim any ownership, license, or rights over your uploaded content beyond what is necessary to provide the Service. We do not use your uploaded materials to train AI models, build cross-account knowledge bases, or for any purpose other than generating content for your account.
4.2 Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the necessary rights, permissions, or authorization to upload any materials you provide to the Service
- Your uploads do not infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
- You are responsible for complying with your institution's policies regarding the use and distribution of course materials
- You understand that Knovus.ai does not monitor or verify the legality of uploaded content and relies on your compliance with these representations
4.3 Intellectual Property of the Service
All intellectual property rights in the Service itself (including software, design, branding, and proprietary AI systems) are owned by Knovus.ai. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you.

6. Service Availability and Modifications

- Any inaccuracies in AI-generated study materials
- Academic integrity proceedings or disciplinary actions arising from your use of the Service
- Any claims by third parties (including educational institutions) related to content you upload
7.2 Your Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for your academic decisions and how you use the Service in your educational context
- Knovus.ai is a study aid and does not guarantee academic outcomes
- You are responsible for complying with your institution's academic integrity policies when using the Service
- Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Knovus.ai in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
8. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and policies
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
- Report any suspected misuse of the Service
9. Account Termination
9.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time through account settings.

- Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or institutional policy
- Any claim by a third party (including educational institutions, instructors, or rights holders) arising from materials you uploaded to the Service
This obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.
