Avatars, Onboarding & a Steadier Build

Smaller additions on top of Learn Mode 2: a Knovus photo, your school at signup, and a course that shows its topics while it is still being built.

  • Knovus avatars: Choose an official Knovus expression as your profile photo when you join, or later in Settings.
  • School up front: Your name and school are asked together. Major and graduation year stay optional, and you can search both.
  • One Ask Knovus: Highlight a line, drag a box on a PDF, or open a source file. The chat stays in the same panel on the right.
  • Live topics: New topics appear on the roadmap while your files are still being read.

Learn Mode 2

The summer rebuild. Lessons, questions, the roadmap, and your class now live in one path instead of a pile of files.

  • Lesson cards: Each topic is taught from your slides first, then checked. Diagrams from the lecture show up on the card.
  • Questions you can see: Drag a graph, tap a hotspot, order a sequence, or sort a map. The answer is something you do, not only a letter you pick.
  • Roadmap: Topics unlock in order. A review gate sits between sections, and Knovus walks the path with you, including streaks.
  • Ask from the page: Highlight a line you don't follow and ask Knovus right there. Citations open the source.
  • Your class: Friends, a weekly leaderboard, and a link to invite the people in your course.
  • Practice stays put: A topic's question bank opens from the roadmap. Rebuilding the course is no longer the way to get more questions.

Introducing intelligent Deep Dive in LearnMode, direct source file linking, and expanded question varieties.

  • Deep Dive in LearnMode: We know what's hard and what's likely to be tested by your professors. Knovus automatically detects challenging concepts and knowledge gaps, highlighting them and teaching you in depth.
  • Direct Source Linking: Every node and lesson now directly links to its corresponding source and raw files. You can open source files right within LearnMode and ask questions if needed.
  • More Question Types: We've added 3 new types of interactive questions in LearnMode to provide a more comprehensive review experience.
